Good evening Lyn, I've been "deployed" in Gentilly (New Orleans) since 1 Jan and I'm operating with my new FT-991A, Cameleon EMCOMM II antenna, and Toughbook CF-31 computer go-kit (Tarheel screwdriver on the car). Unfortunately since arriving I've been faced with significant family emergencies on both my wife's and my sides of the family plus hosted two lots of visiting 'firemen'. The good news is that life has settled down somewhat and I've just finished installing VarAC. I have it working to the extent that I'm receiving beacons and CQ calls. I've attempted a connect to a Beacon station and successfully left a message and disconnected after receiving the alarm. I've had a cursory look at the tutorial you forwarded and will review it later this evening after dinner. I've essentially been "off air" for two years since setting up the RMS HF at home and I'm looking forward to the remaining time here in NOLA to get acquainted with this rig and to get back into the EMCOMM game. I'd like to better understand your project and how to promote it.
